Schuberth E2 flip-up helmet - equipped for every situation

With the new E2 modular helmet from Schuberth, bikers can experience not only 2, but 3 driving feelings from the design alone. The E2 flip-up helmet proves to be the perfect mix of the comfortable C series, the open version of the E2 is reminiscent of the jet helmets from the Schuberth M line and thanks to the adventure design you can also let off steam with the E2 off-road. Well, you can tell from the flip-up helmet, which is already in its second generation, that Schuberth has 70 years of experience in helmet production. While the predecessor made bikers' hearts beat faster, with the new E2 Schuberth is raising the bar even higher in terms of safety and comfort. This is how it looks in detail:

The safety features of the new E2 from Schuberth

A flip-up helmet only really makes sense if it has double homologation (P and J). The "P" stands for protective and is a test mark for full-face helmets. "J" stands for jet and identifies open jet helmets. The P/J homologation means that the modular helmet can be ridden both in the closed form and with the chin guard folded up. For this, the flip-up helmet is put through its paces. This is also shown by the fact that the E2 from Schuberth meets the new ECE 22.06 standard. We had already informed you about the new standard on a special page. In addition to higher demands on the helmet shell, the helmet visor, the visor mechanism and equipment, the focus of the test is increasingly on the increasingly popular modular helmets. The new Schuberth E2 flip-up helmet passed all tests with flying colors. The helmet shell? This is where Schuberth's patented direct fiber technology comes into play. Reinforced with carbon, the shock absorption has been improved and the weight has also been reduced . The roll-off system also integrated in the E2 ensures that a) the modular helmet cannot be slid off the head or turned, b) the optimized angle of inclination means that there is no contact between the helmet and the chin and neck area of the driver and c) in the event of an accident the helmet is not pushed towards the chest. The entire neck area is protected anyway by a newly optimized helmet lining.

The Schubert E2 flip-up helmet - that's comfort

We are happy to dedicate an extra paragraph to the helmet climate. Here, too, Schuberth has optimized the new modular helmet. It starts with an improved chin vent that features dual air intakes . In wintry temperatures, the visor is prevented from fogging up, and if it is very hot, the driver is happy about the additional air flow. Since the E2 is confronted with dust, dirt and insects in off-road use, Schuberth equips the air intakes with washable and replaceable filters. The sophisticated ventilation concept continues with the head ventilation. This can be adjusted depending on the terrain and ambient climate and is equipped with a new , enlarged spoiler . Excellent airflow along the helmet is guaranteed even when riding in difficult conditions. Other comfort features in the interior include the Schuberth customization concept. In addition to the helmet sizes from XS to XXL, extremely round or oval head shapes can also be perfectly reproduced with individual head pads. And the hygiene factor? The inner lining of the Schuberth E2 flip-up helmet is also made of antibacterial and breathable fabrics.

The new adjustable peak

A helmet visor with an aerodynamic design: developed in Schuberth's own wind tunnel, the E2 developed a visor that sets new standards in terms of aerodynamics - as it fits perfectly into the helmet geometry and adapts to it. This reduces vibrations and shocks to a minimum. Even with gloves, the helmet screen can be easily fixed in three positions and just as easily removed and replaced.

The communication center

With the Plug&Play communication system, the Schuberth E2 then becomes a veritable control center. Be it to enhance the tour feeling with music or to share impressions with other bikers while riding. The new E2 is prepared for this with HD speakers and three antennas for MESH intercom, Bluetooth and FM radio.
