ONE WITH NATURE
As the successor to the very popular Neotec model presented at the end of 2011, the Neotec II now offers numerous new features and functions that are once again the new benchmark in the flip-up helmet segment. The first complete integration of a communication solution in a SHOEI helmet is particularly special about this model.
New flip-up helmet with a pioneering design
The first thing you will notice is the striking design of the Neotec II. This model is characterized by its even more aggressive look with an extremely compact design thanks to three different shell sizes, combined with a perfect fit and maximum functionality. New lines, a flat end to the visor and chin section, as well as the partial use of black components create a progressive and uniform overall picture. In order to fit as many motorcycle models as possible, the upper ventilation also serves as a spoiler when driving upright, while the rear spoiler shape of the shell achieves its stabilizing effect in a sportier and forward-sloping driving position.
Enjoy the comfort zone
In order to make particularly long journeys even more pleasant, we have once again optimized the wearing comfort of the new Neotec II and reduced unwanted disruptive factors. The innovative cheek pads developed in the wind tunnel prevent the ingress of wind thanks to the? Noise Isolation construction and thus enable a significantly quieter driving experience. If the stainless steel ratchet lock is closed, the Neotec II offers a very effective wind protection, even downwards. The chin spoiler (Aero Deflector) for relaxed driving in low turbulence has also been redesigned and enhances stability. The 3D-designed, completely removable and washable upholstery consists of several urethane foams in different degrees of hardness and thus offers a precisely fitting shape and extremely high wearing comfort.
Revised folding mechanism
As with the predecessor, the folding mechanism of the Neotec II is eccentrically shaped and provided with a variable axis to ensure optimal closure. The chin section is held securely in its position when folded up thanks to a now stronger mechanism. In addition, there is another rear locking position, which makes the P / J double homologation as a jet and full-face helmet possible. The release button of the folding mechanism of the Neotec II was designed in such a way that it can be operated easily with thick gloves even in winter. The rear edge of the chin part also has a vortex generator, which noticeably calms the air flow at this transition.
Well thought-out protective function
The Neotec II has an AIM shell (Advanced Integrated Matrix) made of five different fiberglass and organic layers. In this way, an optimal compromise is achieved between maximum stability and flexibility at the same time. The core of the Neotec II also consists of several EPS elements of different hardness, depending on the area, and thus optimally absorbs impact energy.
Integrated communication for the first time
A completely new feature at SHOEI is the option of fully integrating an optionally available communication system into the helmet shell. With the Neotec II, a separate, triangular-shaped control unit was provided on the lower side of the helmet, which was completely embedded in the helmet shell and thus enables a homogeneous appearance. The leading manufacturer? SENA is a partner of SHOEI and offers with its SRL * system (SHOEI Rider Link) specially developed for the Neotec II, the right intercom option in a pioneering 3-button design. The chipset of the SRL * is based on the 20S system from SENA and is currently the best communication solution on the market. Up to eight drivers can connect, communicate with each other, listen to music, use the mobile phone or GPS and much more with a maximum range of 2 km
Enough air for long tours
A newly developed ventilation system makes it a perfect choice for the touring rider. The lower air inlet is newly shaped, supplies the mouth and visor area with fresh air and is particularly airtight when closed. Compared to its predecessor, the upper ventilation has now been designed with two air inlets, while air outlets are already located above the slots in the rear area. The rear ventilation with its three additional air outlets also serves as a spoiler and through this negative pressure literally pulls the stale air out of the helmet.
Visor without a hard edge
The new CNS-3 visor stands out with its bevelled edge in the upper area, which prevents moisture from penetrating the inside of the helmet. In addition, the visor seal has been redesigned and ensures a tight and tight seal between the visor and the outer shell. Different material thicknesses and a distortion-free, extra-large view characterize the injection-molded CNS-3 visor made of polycarbonate. The integrated QSV-1 sun visor of the Neotec II can now optionally be exchanged for a yellow-tinted, contrast-increasing lens. The cutout opening of the helmet shell for the sun visor mechanism has also been significantly reduced, which significantly increases the stability in this area.
