A SHOEI HELMET IS MANUFACTURED BY HAND

A motorcycle helmet from Shoei "does not run" from the assembly line - but made by hand. Moreover, in this manual work is the experience of more than 50 years. Only helmet shells made of fibre-reinforced plastic are used for Shoei helmets. During laser cutting, the Shoei helmet gets its final shape when overhangs are cut off, and the openings for visor and ventilation are burnt into the outer shell. After each production step, a test is carried out on material thickness and weight.

After the various helmet series such as the Shoei NXR, Shoei Neotec or the Shoei GT Air has been cleansed of all the supernatants, the primer is done. Afterwards, is polished by hand until the Shoei helmet has a perfect surface for further painting. A great experience is necessary to deal with the specifics of the individual Shoei helmets. Since it is impossible to manufacture high-quality paints even with the latest polyurethane lacquers, now specially trained employees are taking over this work step. Once again, the Shoei helmets are meticulously checked before another trademark is placed.
